First things first:
Your Data Security Comes First
Your notes are saved only on your device and backed-up as an encrypted file on your personal cloud, either in Google Drive, or Apple iCloud. We don't keep your notes on our servers. We’re fully GDPR-compliant and supervised by an external data and technology law firm.

You don’t need to worry if you lose your phone or someone hacks into your cloud. Your notes are protected by military grade AES encryption, making them virtually unhackable.

Keep what matters safe & at your fingertips
Organize your most important information. Keep it all in one place
LegacyApp allows you to create free-form notes in seconds with any essential information, such as details of your bank, investment or pension accounts, insurance policies, real estate documentation, or any unique or specific family matters (such as wills or estate planning documentation). You can also add photos or screenshots of documents to your notes.

As long as you're well, only you can access your LegacyApp notes. LegacyApp periodically checks in with you to ensure you are okay, which you can confirm with a single click. Your beneficiary can only access your notes once you stop responding to LegacyApp’s check-in notifications.

Pass it on to the right person:
You Decide Who Gets Your Notes
If anything happens to you, LegacyApp will safely share your private notes with the person you designate as your beneficiary. Your beneficiary can only access your notes once you stop responding to LegacyApp’s check-in notifications.

We have created a unique Secure Access Procedure, ensuring that the person you designate as your beneficiary will receive access to your LegacyApp notes when they need them most.

Guarded by your friends:
Allow Your Trusted Friends to Act as an Additional Security Layer
To ensure your LegacyApp notes are delivered to your beneficiary only if something happens to you, you can invite three or more people to be your Trusted Friends.

If you stop responding to the "Are you OK?" notifications which LegacyApp periodically sends you, the app will contact your Trusted Friends to check on your well-being. If you enable the Trusted Friends function, LegacyApp will only give your beneficiary access to your notes once at least two Trusted Friends confirm that something has happened to you. They can do this with a simple click in response to an email or SMS we send them.
